Racking inspection guidelines
The SEMA (Storage Equipment Manufacturers Association) Guidelines to the conduct of pallet racking inspections are taken in to account during our inspections but not at the expense of common sense risk assessment and the day to day hands on experience we have gathered during the 35 years since we began one of the countries earliest rack inspection services.
Pallet racking safety - real world approach
We continue to pioneer our 'real world' approach to racking inspections and have sourced our technical experience from integrating best practice.
We take our guiding principles from:
- The Health & Safety at Work Act etc. 1974
- The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 - primarily the use of Risk Assessment principles subjectively assessing the hazards and risks based on observations made on site with the clients business needs as part of such assessments, i.e. "so far as is reasonably practicable".
- The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998
- The Workplace (Health, Safety & Welfare) Regulations 1992
